The PIC Insurance Brokers Harbour Classic is owned and organised  the New Zealand Multihull Yacht Club.

The club has been running New Zealand’s premier fleet yacht race – the famous Coastal Classic - since its inception in 1982. Initiated with just twelve intrepid skippers and crew it now draws the best of national and international talent. It is also the largest race in the Southern Hemisphere and draws one of the largest group of participants.

​

The NZMYC is a community of avid sailors dedicated to advancing sailing through education and innovation.  Their focus is on providing cruising and racing events for multi and monohull sailors around the country.

 

Members can draw on over thirty years of experience; there are a number of designers in the club, both amateur and professional and a number of talented builders.
